Welcoming Corey Walker to MTL
We are pleased to welcome Corey Walker to MTL, joining our team as CAD Designer.
Corey will be supporting a range of structural and mechanical engineering projects, contributing to the detailed design work behind MTL’s inspection, integrity and FPSO repair activities.
Her role will include producing structural drawings and sketches for use within PYXIS, developing 3D models for visualisation and technical analysis, and working alongside our engineers and suppliers to develop and refine offshore equipment designs.
Corey will also support the preparation of inspection and repair workpacks, giving her exposure to the practical engineering challenges involved in maintaining and repairing FPSOs in operation.
Bringing a Wealth of Experience
Corey brings considerable experience from across the oil and gas industry, having started her career as an apprentice with Foster Wheeler Wood Group. Since then, she has worked with a range of operators and contractors, carrying out offshore surveys aboard assets. Her career has also taken her overseas, including a year working in Monaco, and has encompassed everything from major project workscopes to smaller repair orders.
The role provides plenty of scope for Corey to develop her CAD and engineering design experience as part of MTL’s multidisciplinary team, with opportunities to contribute to offshore and international projects as her career develops.
