Training and Visualisation
Virtual reality and 3D visualisation
Marine Technical Limits (MTL) has significant experience of building highly realistic training environments and simulations. We have worked with 3D CAD visualisation since 2009 and have been actively developing VR solutions since pre-production, beta versions of hardware were made available by Oculus.
The PYXIS platform exploits our powerful location engine to automatically plot information in both 2D and 3D environments. Users can access information quickly and easily through 2D drawings and 3D models via desktop, mobile and web applications.
Communicate complex scenarios
PYXIS allows complex scenarios to be communicated quickly and easily to a wide range of stakeholders. Studies have proven that adopters of VR benefit from higher retention rates, improved understanding and reduced training times.
Our VR allows organisations to immerse personnel in a photorealistic virtual environment that delivers highly effective training in an engaging way. Individuals benefit from a more engaging and effective learning experience and it is possible to easily assess whether learning outcomes are being achieved.
Environment familiarisation with PYXIS
The system allows teams to become familiar with the environment, identifying potential challenges and developing solutions prior to mobilising offshore. PYXIS is also fully integrated into our VR environments allowing users to explore data with unrivalled contextual understanding. This enables safer and more efficient execution of inspection and repair work.
Accessible by all stakeholders
PYXIS allows teams to become familiar with the environment, identifying potential challenges and developing solutions prior to mobilising offshore. This enables safer and more efficient execution of inspection and repair work.
