Reflecting on SPE Offshore Europe 2019

With SPE Offshore Europe having been finished one month ago we have taken some time to reflect upon the show and think about how we engaged with our clients, our potential new clients and our suppliers.

One of the things that we were incredibly proud of was our Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) video which was showcased at our stand. The feedback we received was outstanding. The video was created with the aim to clearly articulate the risks of traditional approaches to ventilating tank spaces. It showcased how our SSOW offers a step change in managing and mitigating the risks associated with tank entry, creating a safer working environment for those individuals carrying out work in these challenging environments.

At MTL we take the safety or our people and those we work with incredibly seriously. We create and deliver systems which go above and beyond the Regulators and Operators standards because we believe our way is the safest way.

Another aspect of the show which was a particular highlight for us was the feedback we received for our PYXIS integrity management software, a key part of our structural integrity management service offering. The show enabled us to perform live demonstrations of the software, so people could witness how it was used, how it displays the inspection data, and how PYXIS can be used to inform clients to make clear data driven decisions with regards the integrity of their hull structures. This included the PYXIS 3D explorer, which allows clients to view their hull structure with the digital inspection data incorporated live onto the models, a true inspection digital twin.

The conversations we had with those interested parties, with suppliers and with our clients really were fantastic. The show offered us an opportunity to really showcase what we are passionate about and inform organisations of our ability, experience and specialists services.

We are already looking at what we will showcase in 2021 at the show and we can’t wait to see you there.
